The King
From Macedonia to the top of the boutique cigar world. Founder. Blender. The man who said "I Am King" and meant every word of it.

The Origin
Riste Ristevski didn't grow up dreaming of making cigars. He grew up in Macedonia, a country with a rich history of craftsmanship and culture, and eventually made his way to the United States, where he built a career in enterprise IT.
But cigars were always the other passion. And in 2015, when the boutique cigar movement was just beginning to find its footing, Riste decided to stop smoking other people's cigars and start making his own.
He named the brand Jas Sum Kral — "I Am King" in Macedonian — because that's exactly the feeling he wanted every person who lit one of his cigars to have.
The Full Story
Riste Ristevski founded Jas Sum Kral as an independent cigar brand with a direct, personal point of view. The public record on this site focuses on the documented blend information, independent press coverage, and the adult community that gathers around the #JSKVirus name.
His artwork is rooted in Macedonian folk culture and history — the intricate band art, developed by Singapore-based designer Nuzli Hakiim, features motifs from Macedonian textiles, including a pattern taken from a photo of his daughter wearing a traditional village wedding outfit. Every band tells a story. Every cigar carries a piece of that heritage.
The verified historical production record on this site lists NOA (New Order of the Ages) in Estelí from 2015–2017 and Tabacalera Aragon S.A. from 2018–2024. Current facility details are not published here unless JSK confirms them. Where documented, individual JSK product pages identify Estelí, Nicaragua as their origin.

Industry Recognition
The industry noticed. Not that we needed their validation. But when you build something this good, even the gatekeepers have to acknowledge it.

Production History
Three factories. One relentless pursuit of perfection.
They Failed.
Riste has been one of the most vocal critics of FDA overreach in the boutique cigar industry. He's not afraid to say what the rest of the industry whispers. The regulations are designed to protect big tobacco, not consumers. JSK has survived every attempt to silence the boutique cigar movement. And we're stronger than ever.
